This “mini-guide” contains structural illustrations and a table with identification and sound characteristics for 28 species of hawks, eagles, falcons, kites, and vultures found in Arizona.

The illustrations provide relative standards for evaluating the tail length, the length and shape of the wings, and the wing profiles in flight.  The table highlights key structural characteristics, vocalizations, and other identification clues.
