This “mini-guide” contains structural illustrations and a table with identification and sound characteristics for 26 species of flycatchers, kingbirds, phoebes, and pewees found in Arizona.

The illustrations provide relative standards for gauging bill length, tail length, and the primary projection.  The table highlights key structural characteristics, vocalizations, and other identification clues.
